Amy Rousseau
Owner, Massage therapist, Fascial worker, biomechanical movement instructor with the Erick Franklin method, and NVR (Neurovascular release) student and practitioner.
Having started my journey treating people in 2017 in Edmonton, AB, I then returned to my home town Campbell River, BC in 2019. In Edmonton, I had worked with chiropractors, trained under an osteopath, and was mentored by an advanced myofascia-worker. Since living back in Campbell River, I have worked with physiotherapists and kinesiologist through multidisciplinary clinics, to expand my experience.
I have been continuing my education by attending the most recent international fascia conference, completing a biomechanical movement course, and having started NVR training - which will continue into September and November of 2026.
I really enjoy treating post-surgical scar tissue, cervicle vertigo, rehabilitating injuries, reducing Tinnitus (when not caused by loud noise exposure) and creating a safe space through trauma-informed care for clients with ptsd.
My myofascial treatments had started out as a very firm technique to unravel functional scoliosis starting at the hips. Now, with the information on fascia changing, I have learnt to release the Fascial trains through firm and softer techniques to accommodate different clients’ needs and tolerances for pressure.
There aren't many sports that I haven't tried, but kayaking, free-diving, and aerial silks are what I am currently focused on.
